I bought two of these for my ten year old grand sons. They are sturdy and will last many years with their rough housing about. Perfect size for kids. I purchased two swords to go with them. The shorter swords are a good size for kids. The swords are also quite sturdy, with no sharp edges. The shield will have no problem being whacked by the sword for many many years.
