Queen Gertrude's Cocktail Ring
Queen Gerty is a great friend of mine. She loves making unusual cocktails. The other day she made me a ripsnorter of a cocktail, using an entire punnet of raspberries, a spoonful of fig jam, and FIVE different spirits, oh, and one sprite. The sprite was to help mix it all up. He danced around in there until it was good to go, and then he passed out drunk, snoring away for hours.
Here's one of Queen Gertrude's most popular cocktails for you to try at home...
30ml Cointreau
30ml Gin
30ml Captain Morgan
30ml Lime Juice
60ml Pineapple Puree
1tbsp Lemon Butter
1 sprig of smacked mint
1 stick of bruised Lemongrass to stir it with, if you don't have any sprites handy, that is.
Oh and Queen Gertrude says if you're going to make fancy cocktails, you need to look the part, starting with a cocktail ring or two, like this one!
